Nature’s Canines

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

Love them for WHO they are, not for WHAT you wish them to be.

We work with dogs,
not on them.

When working with dogs, I strongly believe in
always seeing the world from the dog’s perspective, not our own.

First and foremost, it is important to
understand what and why
the undesirable behaviours
are occurring from the root cause, and to rule out any underlying
conditions during the assessment.

I never use any force or punishment.

I do NOT implement intimidation/fear tactics, physical force, or the use of aversive tools (choke chains, prong collars, shock collars, etc) into my training practice.

During our training together, we allow dogs to think for themselves, make choices, and by doing so, we reward the behaviour(s) that are more desirable!

At Nature’s Canines, dogs learn to learn on
their own time at their own pace.
